Hey Makers,
One thing I love besides crochet is bags. So when I saw these bags I fell in love.
Maybe you’re looking for your next project? If you sell at markets one of these would be great to wear during your next market. If you don’t they are great for just everyday errands too. If you have been wanting to make a bum bag, your search is over! I have found 3 of the most adorable bum bag, cross body, granny belt bag, fanny pack (whatever you want to call them.) patterns. Not only are they adorable & functional all 3 are free patterns as well.
This first pattern is by TaylorLynnCrochet. These colors just speak to my heart. Isn’t it gorgeous? Taylor uses a half double crochet instead of double crochet. She includes the link for the strap or you can make your own. She also has a video showing you how to line your bag.
This is the bag I’m currently working on. I can’t wait to see how it turns out!
I love this strap on this next bag that Annie over at Hook and Heelers designed for her Granny Belt Bag. She uses a bean stitch for the strap. This stitch gives the strap an amazing texture. I have never tried a bean stitch before. I will be trying it now for sure!
This last pattern is by Sarah over at Repeat Crafter Me. These colors just scream summer. If you want to hold on to the summer vibe a little longer you can with this one. If you ready for fall just change up the colors to create a beautiful fall look.
You can download her written pattern. However, If you are a visual learner like me. She has a video tutorial as well. Her version even includes a zipper option.
All 3 bags are amazing as you can see. Now your only problem will be deciding which one you will make. Maybe all 3 but you will still have to decide which one to start with. I don’t think you can really go wrong with either option.
Share photos of your finished bag here in the comments & over on my Instagram.
